When did you start getting into health & fitness and why?

Before online coaching I was an athlete. Sports always came pretty naturally to me. I’ve always loved competition and bettering myself through physical activity. In high school I tried out for volleyball, I am 5’2 so you could imagine how this went. When I didn't make the team, I was pretty devastated because, being an athlete was all I knew. During that time, my older brother had been begging me to join the wrestling team alongside him for months. Worried and nervous about what my friends and peers would think of me, I was reluctant to join. When you're a teenager in high school all you want to do is fit in right? Growing up my brother practiced every move he learned on me because I was the closest thing he had to a younger brother. 


I always held my own and fought back. After getting yelled at by my parents for fighting too much, my brother turned to me and said “Julia you have to join the wrestling team”. The start of my freshman year I joined the wrestling team.


This is where my fitness journey began. I was the only girl. Being the only girl in a male dominated sport truly was something out of the ordinary. I was either picked on or praised. The time came for wrestling season. It was brutal. It consisted of 5 am cross country runs, weight lifting, and one sometimes two after school practices. Then 10 hour tournaments each weekend. Joining wrestling turned me into the passionate woman I am today. A woman who is passionate about fitness, health, and mindset.


Being in complete control of my physical well being has given me so much confidence and power I never knew I had. My mission is to help YOU truly KNOW YOUR POWER, and have the confidence YOU deserve.

I am passionate about health and fitness because it has TURNED MY LIFE AROUND for the better. I am more confident, social, happier, more energetic. Fitness isn't just about looking good it's about the journey.

“I started my journey with Coach Julia 4 months ago when I was stationed in South Korea. I found her through an old roommate of mine. I was opening up to my friend Jess that I was feeling down and unmotivated for a while, but didn’t know how to find the help I was searching for so she told me to give Julia a chance to lift my spirits and change my mindset. ... For years, since 2009, I was in love with fitness, and the gym was where you could find me in my free time. Other than therapy and mental health, I always believed it was important to stay physically fit since I am Active Duty. Julia is not only helpful, but she’s beautiful inside and out and genuinely cares about her clients, and the people she invests her time in.
